Meet the GNAME AI Assistant: Domain Management Without the Busywork

Just ask. Your account, your security, and your domains, all in one chat.

Managing domains shouldn't mean hunting through menus. With the GNAME AI Assistant, you just say what you need. It finds the information, explains it in plain language, and makes changes once you give the go-ahead. You stay in control, and the busywork goes away.

Here's a first look at what the assistant can do, starting with two areas that matter every day: your account and your security. We'll also show you which settings you can change in a single step.

Managing your GNAME account

What you can change in one step

Not every setting works the same way. Some take a single action. Some need one quick choice from you. And a few are view-only. Here's the breakdown.

One action

Feature Input needed Notes
Safeguard transactions such as domain transfers None Takes effect immediately. Allowing transactions later requires verifications through all 2FA methods.
Set default language zhcn or us Applies to the interface going forward. Not retroactive.
Send email verification code Email and purpose Template verification sends a link. All other purposes send a code.
Send SMS verification code Phone and purpose 60-second cooldown per number, per purpose.
Resend authorization notice Authorization record Notifies the pending invitee again.
Cancel an authorization Authorization record Revokes delegated access. Status changes to cancelled or unbound.
Edit authorization remark Record and new text Free-form label. No side effects.

One action, with a choice from you

Feature What the assistant needs from you
Set default DNS Which DNS entry to use. The assistant lists them and marks the current default.
Set default domain template Which template ID to use.
Modify profile The full required set: surname, given name, gender, country, province, city, address, postal code, and phone. Add WhatsApp or Telegram (at least one). Singapore accounts cannot change the country or dialing code.
Allow transactions such as domain transfers The verification codes or answers for every required method. If the security question is required, it can only be removed manually under Account Management, then Security Center, on the website.

View only

These are yours to look at. There's nothing to change here:

  • ccount information

  • User profile (viewing)

  • Country and region reference data

  • Domain asset statistics

  • Default settings (the values are yours to change, and viewing them doesn't change anything)

  • Security overview and login verification settings

  • Linked third-party accounts. You can see your Google, Facebook, X, Apple, and GitHub links, but you can't add or remove them here

  • Authorization list and operation protection status

Account & Profile

See your account at a glance

Ask for your account information, and you'll get one clear overview:

  • Your account ID and login email (masked)

  • Total balance, split into available, held, and pending settlement

  • Your account role: regular user, reseller, or senior reseller

  • The number of domains and cloud products you own

It's the quickest way to check who you're signed in as and where your funds stand.

View and update your profile

The assistant can show your name, location, contact details, company name, WhatsApp, and Telegram. Your phone number and email appear masked by default, to keep them private. To see the full values, release operation protection first. The assistant never guesses at a masked value.

Need to make a change? Update your profile in a single request. Before saving, the assistant checks a few rules for you:

  • Country, province, and city must form a valid chain

  • Phone length must match the allowed lengths for the selected country

  • Gender is required

  • Add at least one of WhatsApp or Telegram. Company name is optional

Pick a country, and the assistant fills in the dialing code. If a country has no province or city list, just type your location in.

Know where your portfolio stands

Ask for your domain asset statistics and see every domain counted by status: total, expiring soon, expired, transferring in or out, renewing, in push, on pre-order, in auction, listed for sale, and active templates. It's an easy way to spot what needs attention, like expiring domains, and to see what's already moving.

Set your defaults once

Three defaults apply to every new registration:

  • Default DNS: the name servers applied to new domains

  • Default language: Chinese or English

  • Default domain template: the registrant template applied at registration

Read all three in one request, and change each one on its own. A new default only applies to future registrations. Your existing domains stay exactly as they are.

Managing your security controls

See how secure your account is

Review your security posture and see it all in one place:

  • Which factors are bound: email, phone, security question, and MFA

  • Whether login verification and operation protection are set

  • Whether MFA login and email-code login are on

  • How many accounts you have authorized

  • Your security level: Low (0–2), Medium (3–5), or High (above 5)

For each factor, you'll also see whether your current policy uses it. So the big question, how safe is my account and what's missing, gets a clear answer.

Know what's enforced at login

Having a security factor isn't the same as using it. Login verification shows three states for email, SMS, security question, and MFA: bound, enforced at login, and available. If a factor is bound but not required at sign-in, you'll see it, and you can close the gap.

See your linked accounts

Check which third-party accounts you use to sign in: Google, Facebook, X, Apple, and GitHub. For each one, you'll see whether it's linked and the display name on the link.

Stay in control of delegated access

Authorization management covers anyone you've allowed to sign in to your account. The assistant can:

  • List authorizations, filtered by UID or status (awaiting confirmation, active, rejected, cancelled, or unbound) and sorted by login count or creation time

  • Show how many times each person has signed in and when they last did

  • Cancel an authorization right away

  • Resend a notice when an invitation is still awaiting confirmation

  • Edit the remark on a record, so you always remember why someone has access

Need to remove someone's access? Cancelling the authorization is the fastest way.

Add a second lock with operation protection

Operation protection adds a second lock to sensitive actions, separate from login. The assistant can check its status, turn it on, and release it.

Two things to know:

  • All required methods must pass. If email and SMS are both required, you'll need both codes. One won't do.

  • The security question cannot be released through the assistant. If it's a required method, you'll need to cancel it yourself under Account Management, then Security Center, on the website. It's worth planning ahead for this one.

The status check shows what the platform knows. If you released protection manually on the website, it might not show up yet.

Get your verification codes

The assistant can send email and SMS verification codes for security applications, identity checks, email or phone changes, top-ups, and releasing operation protection. Email codes have two sending routes, so if one message doesn't arrive, try the other. SMS allows one send per phone number, per type, every 60 seconds, so give it a moment between tries.

For domain template email verification, you'll get a link to select. You won't need to type a code.

Built to keep you in control

Every change is a deliberate one:

  • Anything that sends a message or changes a setting happens only after you confirm
  • The assistant checks that an action worked before it tells you to look in your inbox
  • Masked values stay masked until you release operation protection

Try it yourself

Start with a question like these:

  • "Show my account information."
  • "How secure is my account, and what is missing?"
  • "List everyone authorized to sign in to my account."
  • "Cancel the authorization for UID 12345."
  • "Show my domain asset statistics."
  • "Set my default DNS to the second option."

Your account, your access, and your portfolio, all one question away. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our AI Assistant or our support team through live chat. Good luck, domainers!
